Maria Dimitriadi has started Aikido in 2006 with Janet Clift and Eamonn Devlin at the Aikido of Athens dojo. She has attended numerous seminars with teachers such as Y. Fujimoto, T. Miyamoto, S. Endo, Didier Boyet, Christian Tissier, S. Sugawara, Y. Kobayashi, T. Mori, T. Suzuki, Y. Irie, T. Kuribayashi, M. Ito, Donovan Waite, John Stevens, Chris Mooney, Gordon Jones, John Rogers, Robert Savoca, Emilio Cardia, Juba Nour and Michael Ibers. She holds the 4th Dan in Aikido and the title of Fukushidoin (Federation Assistant Instructor) of the Aikikai of Greece Federation. She has taught at many seminars around Greece (e.g. Syros, Kalamata, Nafplio).

She practiced Iaido (Muso Shinden Ryu) for many years and in which she holds the rank of 3rd Dan. She practices Tenshin Buko-ryu Heiho (TBRH) naginata jutsu in which she holds the rank of Shihan.
