Panagiotis Efstathiou started Aikido in 1989 at the Technical University of Athens, Greece, under the technical supervision of Alexis Pappas and Maria Marinerou. Since 1992 he is an active member of Aikido of Athens. He currently holds the rank of 5th Dan in Aikido as well as being a qualified Mastro Self Defence system instructor (Level 1).
